Ponce Inlet, Florida is the southernmost tip of the peninsula, beach side Daytona Beach area. The dunes there have been protected by installing walkways over them, to keep people off, and preserve their ability to protect us from erosion and destruction.

This view is looking southeast, towards the life guard tower which overlooks both the ocean and inlet to the Halifax River. The inlet separates Ponce Inlet from New Smyrna Beach on the other side. You can just barely see the ocean over the dunes in this shot!
