Driving the backroads of the Palouse is sometimes a bit like hunting treasure with a metal detector - you never know what you're going to stumble across. Toward the end of a day of driving and shooting with a group of photographers, we decided to leave the caravan and take a different route, leading to this abandoned homestead just off a dirt road.
