Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on a grey and drizzling day in a cramped little rose garden at my wife's grandmother's house in Xalapa, Veracruz Mexico.

Time

We had a planned visit to the grandmother's house, so I packed my Tamron 100mm Macro and my tripod and my then Nikon D700. It is quite often cold with a constant drizzle here in Xalapa, Veracruz Mexico, so I knew the rises would be covered with drops of water. I did not know that none of the roses would be in bloom, so I took photos of the rosebuds instead.

Lighting

Equipment

Nikon D700, Tokina 100mm, f/2.8 Macro and my tripod. No other equipment was used.

Editing

As best I can remember all, I did was some curves and sharpening adjustments.

In my camera bag

Now a days all I carry is my Nikon D3500 with a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 lens and my Nikon SB800 speedlight.
