A beautiful middle size mammal,the Giant Squirrel is one of the attractions of the Western Ghats of India.Nice deep brown fur with an exceptionally long tail of two colors it looks very attractive in the woods.It usually lives on tall trees and never comes to ground.Feeds on fruits in the jungle and is very afraid of any movement around hence it difficult to get its clear view.Its movements are mostly in the early morning makes difficult to photograph.Mostly found singly.
