Thank you! The sunlight coming through all of these different angles was pretty neat.

Location
I took this photo on a rural farm in Illinois. There was an abandoned house and barn on this forgotten landscape.Time
I took this photo April 9, 2016. It was in the early morning hours on that crisp spring morning.Lighting
After exploring what I could of the dilapidated house, I ventured over to the barn, which was as bad off as the house. I absolutely love barns, all the wood and angles, the way the light comes through the cracks, a genius architectural giant. The way the light came through this particular portion of the side was incredible. The different lines and all the different angles was neat. I couldn't help but see my opportunity and the result is this shot, edited to black and white.Equipment
I carry both my Nikon D60 and my cell phone, which at this date in time was a Samsung S3. I took this shot with my S3 and edited to black and white. No tripod and no flash. The natural light and the shadows were a perfect combination.Inspiration
For me, I always try to think a little outside the box, less mainstream. When I stepped into the barn and saw the contrast of dark and light, I knew exactly at that moment what I was going to do. I have never been in another barn which shared the same angles and lines.Editing
The only edit I made to this photo was to change it to black and white. I rarely make any edits to my photos. I try to maintain the originality of each photo I take to capture that exact moment in time.In my camera bag
So I'll be giggling while typing this portion out. In my camera bag, I have my extra battery, battery charger, USB cord and all cables. I also have bug spray, and hand powered flashlight, a head light and some Altoids :-)Feedback
My advice to anyone would be to just take as many photos as you like. Think a little outside the norm, but be true to what you want to represent. My photos all represent who I am as a photographer and what I'm passionate about.
