What kind of camera do you use? I am an amateur but I love photography. I’ve only taken iPhone 10 photos and want to expand on my skill. I would appreciate any advice.

This photo was made with Canon 550D, these days I use sony A7R2. For you when moving on from phone to camera I would recommend sony A 6000-6500 series, smaller crop sensor camera with great sensor and you can change lenses and use older lenses with adapter. So it give you lots of options and it is smaller package to carry.
