Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Pitfour Estate, Mintlaw , Peterhead ,Aberdeenshire , Scotland.

Time

This photograph was taken on Feb 13 2016 the day before Valentine's , During those magical minutes of late winter dusk when the sun began to set over the horizon and the fading lights trying to break through the clouds and into the lake.

Lighting

In terms of lightning. It was the best evening.

Equipment

This was shot using my iPhone 6s , f/2.2 1/.999 sec 4.15mm ISO 25. No other equipment was involved.

Inspiration

For several times I visited the lake during the year. I live nearby so I have photograph it often, But I was trying to capture the dramatic formation of the cloud that reflects the stillness of the water. With the naked tree and ice slowly melting gives the image another story.

Editing

No. As I'm using my iPhone 6s which basically or pretty much already process for me.

In my camera bag

I usually pack my Canon EOS 600D with my preferred lens Canon Ultrasonic EF 17-40mm f/4L USM with 77mm Canon circular PL-C B filter .Along with my two other lens , Canon Zoom lens EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and Canon Macro lens EFS 18-55mm 0.25m/0.8ft . A Monfrotto tripod and my compact camera which is my IPhone 6s. Quite a weight but I know every photographer has to deal with..????????

Feedback

There's no such thing as bad weather or light when it comes to photography; nature plays a vital rule in different images sometimes it can be harsh but yet it can also produce a stunning and magnificent shots. If you are on the right place and right moment in time.
