Judging by each of the photos in your gallery, Miguel, I'd say you're much beyond amateur status! Wonderfull work indeed!

Gorgeous work Miguel, all of them. This is one of the best sunrise, or sunset, shots I've ever seen.

I can honestly say that it was one of the best i've seen in my life too :) thats the problem with sunrises.. you never really know how they will be.. mother nature has a way of making us wake up early for nothing but coffee :) but sometimes we get rewarded :) Thanks!!!

There is only two words to describe this shot, "How lovely." Those words were the first thing came to mine. The shot's actually breath taking. Well done!

Location
This photo was taken in Portugal near Aveiro. It is a large natural lake renound for its Beauty and wildlife.Time
A last look at online weather stations seemed to confirm our expectations. high cloud cover with openings. Ideal for a beautiful sunrise. The location is quite far from where I live. So myself and a group of friends started our journey at about 3am and drove for a a few hours. Several stops for coffee later we arrived just before dawn. Enough time to scout and prepare the equipment. It was not the first time here so we knew exactly where we wanted to be.Lighting
It was cold and morning fog covered the water. Murphy’s law kicked in... no high clouds visible. Only thick fog. It actually looked like the sun would not be able to penetrate through the fog. Disappointment visible in everyone’s face. But i remained steadfast. Suddenly, a small opening and the sun broke through. Just when my hopes were disappearing, a warm glow bathed the water. The fog dispersing the light. Immediately I changed the white balance of the camera to intensify the warm colors, underexposing the shot, to ensure good contrast. The light lasted for max 1 min, giving way to a harsh sunrise. I smiled all the way back home.Equipment
My old canon 60d, a 10mm lens, no filters, and a tripod.Inspiration
Nature has these things. It giveth (sometimes) and sometimes it doesn’t!Editing
This was actually quite a clean shot. I like to use the live view function so I can see the shot before it is actually taken. In any case I always make sure the horizon is level adjust some brightness / contrast and saturation if necessary. In my camera bag
10mm, 24-70, 70-200. I now cary a canon 80d. I like it’s versatility. Instill haven’t bought a full frame lol!Feedback
For landscapes and seascapes, arrive early! Make sure you have plenty of time to prepare! And prepare before you set off. Check the weather forecasts, tides, wind speeds (yes wind... if photographing seascape... nothing like the wind blowing water into the lens all the time. And don’t give up! You’ll be surprised when you least expect it.
