In August 2015, my 12 year old Son Robson entered this photo to the CANADIAN GEOGRAPHIC 2015 WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY of the year competition. It was fun to see the 300+ entries in the under 18 year old category. Although Robson's photo entry did not win in this contest, we hope you enjoy this image by Robson.

This photo taken late winter in glorious sunshine on a very cold brisk day whilst this Male Redhead Duck had just surfaced with food in it's bill (not sure what it is though -any ideas?). Very active, quite shy letting us approach no closer than 60-75 feet away in the channel joining lake Ontario with the inner Toronto harbour area in the middle of Toronto. Note the brilliant yellow eyes and saturated reddish-brown neck...
