Location
The photo was taken in Southern France while touring and on our way to relatives. We stopped to exercise our dog and the camera came with us into a meadow and there was this beautiful butterfly which i followed until it settled long enough to get one image.Time

My first digital camera , a Canon 10D bought second hand from a friend who had upgraded, using a Canon 70 -300 ultrasonic zoom from my film days with a short extension tube.Inspiration

The image was taken a long time ago and I now have a Nikon D750 with a Sigma 50-500 for Wildlife and aircraft and and Olympus OMD E-M1 ii with their 12-100 Pro lens for everything else.Feedback
Too many people spend huge amounts on Macro lenses when a good everyday telephoto plus single extension tube will give equal results but let you do it from a much greater distance without disturbing the subject, ( old school !!) .
