Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on the Georges River at Como in the southern suburbs of Sydney.

Time

Sunrise. My favourite time of day as I have had many photo sessions at sunrise at Como.

Lighting

As anyone knows, when you’re shooting with natural light you can be at nature’s mercy. I was lucky this particular morning.

Equipment

Canon EOS 7D with a canon telephoto lens.

Inspiration

I go to Como on and off over the years because it is such a photogenic place. I am guaranteed to get some cracking results at every visit.

Editing

I had to do a little straightening and an altering of the contrast. Much to my shame, my camera requires a long overdue service!

In my camera bag

My equipment totally depends on what my shooting expedition entails, but I never go anywhere without my trusty telephoto lens.
