There's a small city park south of us, where I have hiked a number of times, spring being the obvious period in which to explore. One friend told me that care must be taken when there, as rattle snakes build nests in the underbrush and pits. In amongst the chalk graveled ways and clearings are some interesting formations of natural tunnels, almost portal like, and it is easy to imagine dwarfs and odd creatures wandering the evergreens.
