I would highly recommend that anyone who is visiting Barcelona in Spain, makes the day trip out to Mount Montserrat! It's an hour's journey by train and should definitely be done alone. You won't regret it. Whether you go to visit the monastery, see the famous boys choir, hike the mountains or just take in the view...wow. One day is just not enough. This is the famous 'stairway to heaven' monument that looks over the world from above
