Location
My family and I were at Thompson Park in Watertown, NY where a Husky breeder was giving free rides with his dog sled team. This beauty was waiting by the truck for her turn to be hooked up and pull the sled.Time
It was a late morning in February. It was a cold day although warmer than normal for the North Country that is Watertown, New York.Lighting
I used natural light. No other lighting was used or added in the editing process.Equipment

The Husky was a gorgeous animal and just full of life. She kept dancing around her line, waiting (somewhat impatiently) for her turn to be hooked up. I wanted to catch some of that.Editing
I originally took this photo as a full frontal of the Husky. Her eyes spoke to me and I wanted to make them the focal point of the image. I split the image in half, and created a black and white image with her eye being the only pop of color.In my camera bag
I only carry my Canon 70D, the Tamron 16-300mm lens and an extra battery or two. Still in amateur mode, so I don't have a whole lot of equipment.Feedback
Play with your images. Sometimes, you can take a image and think that it fell short somehow. Cropping and playing with light and different settings could help to enhance your photos.
