Location
The photo was taken on a random road near Leongang, Austria when we were coming back to our hotel after skiing. I always carry my camera with me, so the second I saw this view I had to get out of the car and take a couple photos.Time
It was around 4pm.Lighting
The photo didn't even need much editing, the lighting was just really incredible in that moment. The fog was slowly creeping into the valley and I managed to shoot this photo just before it got too dense.Equipment
I used Canon EOS 600D with a 18-135mm lens and a polarizing filter, no other equipment.Inspiration
Probably the fact, that it looked so different to the mountains I've photographed just a few minutes before taking this photo. And also the 'apocalyptic' feeling was something I really wanted to capture. It was more of a challenge to myself, if I can capture it exactly how I imagined it.Editing
I just added a bit more contrast. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 600D with two lenses, the Canon 50mm lens and the Canon 18-135mm lens. Normally there's also a remote control somewhere in the bag plus a few filters (a polarizing one and a ND one) and a macro converter.Feedback
Always carry your camera with you, you never know when the conditions are going to be just as you want them (especially in the mountains). It's also good to know your surroundings and have an image in your head of what you want to capture, because you never know when the perfect conditions can come.
