Location
Was visiting my long lost cousin Ella in Baha, Mexico and she took me on an all day 4 wheeling drive into the back country.Time
After a long day of rough riding, swimming in a top of the mountain cold spring pool, and several Pacifico beers we headed home but it was getting late, and dark. I stopped and just had to try to capture this sunset / oncoming storm over the mountain. Spur of the moment but got several great photos.Lighting
Clouds were moving in and sun was setting so just took what I could get with auto setting as did not have time to try different manual settings.Equipment
Nikon D7100 with a Nikon 35mm lens.Inspiration
Out in the middle of nowhere, feeling somewhat at risk of getting lost, but almost a spiritual look to the sunset.Editing
Some cropping and minor adjusting but the original in RAW was good.In my camera bag
Of course depends on the planned outing and weather but normally the D7100, a basic lens and a mid-range zoom. Sometimes do get loaded up with a tripod for longer heavier lenses, remote release, and various filtersFeedback
Well if I could have planned ahead I would have used a tripod and various manual settings. In any case just shoot away and sometimes you will end up with a real winner.
