I like it when someone really sets out with an 'intent' when they are doing an image, especially a 'self portrait'. Here you are 'telling a story', not just a useless selfie. I have never taken a selfie and never plan to. To me it is kind of a form of 'idol worship' of oneself. I have more important things to do in a day. Back to your composition. You are expressing the pain, the angst, the often helplessness that one feels when it seems like you are attempting to climb out of a pit, and you just don't seem to be making any headway. Excellent intent and follow through. Congrats...the POV really is effective!
