Location
This photo was taken in my little homegarden. The model was laying in tiny blooming bush next to our house. People always think you need a lot or special locations to create beautiful pictures. But this picture proves again that this doens't has to be the case. This was really a small little place where we worked. I think we have the tiny bush for 10years now but because it was so small, hidden, and only blooms for two weeks once a year, you would just walk passed it without noticing. But last year in spring, the coulour was to bright and beautiful that I just couldn't help noticing, so I took my camera and used it for my flower series with Acid Doll. And because I shot it with a telelens, it appears like she is laying in a sea of red flowers, eventhough this really wasn't the case ;-)Time
On a beautiful saturdaymorning.Lighting
I shot with natural light and a wonderfull friend / assistent who helped me also out with my sunbouce.Equipment
It was the first time I worked with a fullframe camera that day. Since I had no money to buy any professional equipment a friend a mine proposed to lend me his Canon Mark 5d ||| body. I used it together with my 70-200mm telelens.Inspiration
I've always loved spring and the beauty of blooming flowers. The model I worked with at that time, shared the same passion, so together we decided to make a series of fashion pictures showing the beauty of spring.Editing
Usually I do quite some post-processing, but with this picture everything was just perfect so it didn't need that much postproduction afterwards. I loved the image immidiately for the moment I shot it, so why change any of it. I just enhanced some of the features but nothing more.In my camera bag
A simpel camera body, my Canon Eos 600d, my all-time favourite telelens 70-200 2.8 and a small sunbounce.Feedback
Keep it simpel ! You really don't need that much to create beautiful things. And you certainly don't have to go far, and search for amazing locations at the other side of the world, because quite often you can find them right next to you or in places you'd never expect... :-)
