Thank you so much for your comment Lisa! The city closed down one end of the road, that's why the leaves were still there. No more cars to spread them around.

Location
This photo was taken in the street where I live. I feel very lucky to live at a place like this. There are only 5 houses in our street. October 2015 the city closed down one end of the road. No cars or motors are allowed anymore, just ofcourse from the people who live there. We weren't very happy in the beginning because we have to make a detour to get somewhere. But now we're used to it. Because there are no cars anymore that throw up the leaves, they stay where they are, and form a colorful carpet as you can see.Time
Picture was taken november 8th 2015 at 15:03. Not such a clear day.Lighting
I wanted the photo to look mysterious, so the viewer would ask himself where that road would lead him to. Photo was taken in 1/160 sec, f5.6, iso 900.Equipment
I used a Nikon 7100, lens 18-105mm, no tripod, no flash.Inspiration
The leavecarpet inspired me to take the picture. The colors were so warm and vivid. I wanted to freeze them before they disappeared in winter.Editing
Yes it was taken in raw, so I had to. I sharpened a bit and made the colors look a bit more vivid. I don't have Lightroom or Photoshop. I did it with the Nikon software that came with the camera, and with photoscape. In my camera bag
Before I bought the Nikon I had a Sony DSC-H9 (8mp). I had that since 2008, and was happy with it at that time because of the lith-ion battery f.e. But at one time I wanted something less automatique, and that became in january 2015 the Nikon 7100. With which I'm very happy. Have to discover so much more in this camera. Just recently I bought a lens 16-300 mm, because the lens that came with the camera only had a 105mm zoom. For me, in some situations, wasn't enough.Feedback
Look, look, look. There is so much to see everywhere. I try to take pictures at various times of the day, of the same object. Then you discover so much more about the same place. I think the painter Monet did a great job in painting the same object at every moment of the day. He inspires me to do so too.
