This photo of extraordinary truffles was made in “The Hester House” confectionary in Silver City, New Mexico.
The Hester House in the downtown of Silver City has been around longer than any other downtown shop (47 years!) and is a popular place for holiday gifts (candles, plush items and necklaces. They sell many varieties of unusual sweet treats, in addition to their signature fudge creations. Alison Hunter is the owner of Hester House, previously owned by her parents, Carrol and Dorothy Porter. She and an employee were busily putting together gift boxes of some of the sweet treats in advance of the holiday. Hunter is proud to say they’ve kept their chocolate prices steady for the past “four or five years,” although they’ve had to absorb the rising price of vital ingredients like butter. They allow customers to create their own boxed assortments of chocolates, and there are lots to choose from, including truffles, holiday shaped treats and toffee. For those who can’t tolerate sweets they make sugar free chocolates.

Oh the heck with the diet and "Just One" has always been my downfall. The only way I can keep up with my mouth is to use my two legs to push off from the table. I need to do more "push offs" LOL
