I have always wanted to go to Allan Gardens! I saw when CTV did their noon hour weather from inside the Conservatory, telling all how they could visit everyday while it was decorated for Christmas!! Really good shot and processing!

Location
I took this photo at Allan Gardens Conservatory. It is a major landmark and tourist attraction in downtown Toronto. Its historic, cast-iron and glass domed "Palm House" was built in 1910 and is designated under the Ontario Heritage Act. A botanical gem in the heart of the city, Allan Gardens has a permanent collection of exotic plants and beautiful seasonal flower shows.Time
I captured this photograph at approximately 11:00 a.m.Lighting
I prefer natural lighting as it can set the mood of your photograph. On this particular day it was slightly overcast. No flash was required.Equipment
I used my Canon camera which was hand held. I feel it is not important to have an expensive camera to capture a beautiful photograph. I feel strongly that cameras do not take the photograph but photographers doInspiration
For me its all about how a style of architecture makes you feel, old architecture tends to feel inviting, grand and also holds a lot of character.Editing
The only minor post-processing I did on this photograph was using Photomatix to make the photograph a bit more vibrant! Otherwise what you see is what came straight out of my camera. In my camera bag
In my camera bag I carry my Canon camera, extra batteries, various filters, lens filter cleaner and extra memory cards.Feedback
Every photograph tells a story, make your photograph tell a story. Photography changes the way you see things. You notice colours, textures, people, nature … everything around you looks different when you start to see the world through a lens. Have fun and enjoy doing what you love doing, which is taking photographs. Don’t follow your dreams … chase them!
