Location
This photo was taken in an old building, in Alliance, Ne. I was a very new photographer to children's fashion when I took this photo. One of my favorite photos of all time.Time
I remember getting the dresses in the night before the shoot. I was so excited for morning to come. We headed to the old building around 9am, I got the girls ready all by myself and started taking random photos to see what I liked and didn't like. This photo was taken around 11am October 2015.Lighting
I was going for a victorian natural lighting feel. There is a huge window to the right of the image that has light colored window paint on the outside creating a nice filter for the softer light.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7200 with my sigma art 50mm 1.4. Hand held, no special lighting or tricks.Inspiration
I had always wanted to be featured in a children's fashion magazine, so I just started playing around ad creating something different in the fashion world. You will never catch me doing the "Norm" when it comes to fashion photography, that not me, I like to break the rules.Editing
I brought this image into LR and did a few adjustment to a normal preset I created that has a nice vintage feel to it. I touched the girls skin up slightly but not much.In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon d750, sigma art 35mm f1.4 & sigma art 50mm f1.4. I am a natural light photographer so I do not bring fancy lighting equipment with me unless I am shooting a wedding.Feedback
Its all about the natural poses from the girls, I was just talking to them and having a conversation while shooting continuously. The outfits were rented from @theborrowedboutique, and the lighting was key! Soft natural light filtered through that window is the most important part of this photo.
