I took this photo in the cornfield near a pumpkin patchTime
End of the day say 5:00?Lighting
I only shoot in the beginning of the day or the end and this happen to be right before the pumpkin patch was closingEquipment
I used a 70-200 II and a 5D Mark III, no flashInspiration
I love cornfields because of all the straight lines, color and the depth of field options (I prefer the shallow in this case. Cornfields have a way of telling a story.Editing
Yes, I used a lot of warm color saturation, eye brightening and some skin softening. All done in Photoshop, in general my photos lean towards a warm saturated look.In my camera bag
Oh gosh my bag is so heavy!!! 2 5D Mark III, 24-70, 70-200 II, 16-35 , 600 flash, batteries, cards, a transmitter (for off camera lighting), my phone and a bottle of water. I hate changing lenses during a shoot so I bring both cameras.Feedback
I tell people one of the most important things when shooting is to have a "point of view". What story are you telling? What emotion are you going for? How will you achieve that, will you lay on the ground shooting up or will you shoot through something? Things like that help make photos more interesting. The more you practice the more you learn the easier the ideas come.
