Location
This photo was taken in Port Alberni, BC where i live. I walk on this beautiful dyke a couple of times a week. The weather, time of day all produce different light and a different feel.Time
What time of day, well I am guessing... in the late morning . I have taken many pictures there, morning, noon and evening. I was on the bridge, loved the reflection, the feel aimed my camera and took the shot a few times.Lighting
I do watch the light and take pictures in all kinds of light, it is what makes or gives the picture a feeling. The lighting in this photo was just the natural light of the day.Equipment
I use only one piece of equipment, my camera it is a Fujifilm SL1000 with a 50x zoom. I have no special training, mainly use the auto button, which would probably make most professional photographers crazy. I see a picture or feel a picture, aim and shoot. I do watch the light and see the effects. I have read articles about the iso, aperature and shutter speed but as of yet haven't knowingly incorporated them into my shots.Inspiration
What inspired me to take the shot...the beauty, it is all around us here, you really can't miss.Editing
The only processing might of been cropping or using iphoto's editing buttons. In my camera bag
As I say the only equipment I use is my trusty fujifilm sl 1000 camera. I love it, I don't use everything it offers... like changing the iso and shutter speed but have been told by a photographer friend to experiment with it. So I might slow down and take the time to learn a little more about it.Feedback
Advice.... I suppose the only advise I could offer is to always carry your camera, you never know when a beautiful shot will appear. Keep your focus on the light, the beauty, the feel and composition of what ever is around you. And of course... take lots and lots of pictures because it can take a while before you get the picture that you had in your head or that to you..is the perfect shot.
