This photo was taken at Indian Beach, Ecola State Park, Oregon. It's a 30-second long exposure using a 10-stop ND filter. I've wanted a picture just like this for a long time. We don't have rocks on the beach where I live! I was set up on that big rock in the foreground, precariously balanced trying to keep tripod, camera, and me upright and dry. It helped that a big, strong man with waterproof boots was standing behind me giving me literal support and keeping an eye out for incoming waves. That would be Jake of Shutter Click Adventures, who hosted Blake Rudis's photo workshop at Cannon Beach, Oregon.
