This photo is proof there’s more to mannequins than one might first have thought. This mannequin has undergone a great transformation, becoming aesthetically pleasing yet dynamically different from its origin in the fashion industry of yesteryear. While mannequin art can be very expensive to produce, if the design is just right, the mannequin will reap artistic admiration from fellow material artists. This particular piece of mannequin art may be pique assiette - ( a French term -"stolen from plate") pieces of broken pottery, china, glass, buttons, figurines, and- jewelry are cemented onto a base to create a new surface. Almost any form can be used as a base, and any combination of pieces can be applied, restricted only by the individual creator's imagination. imagination.
