Camping will always be one of my favorite escapes. My dad and I always take a fishing-camping trip every Spring and Fall near the Rogue River. This image was snapped looking straight up from our campfire in October of 2011. Back in 2011, I was still in college and I was really into experimenting with blending multiple exposures with different shutter speeds.

This is a blend of three exposures. One is a :30 second exposure for the stationary stars, another is :15 seconds for the trees, illuminated by the campfire, and the star trails were about 1 hour or so. Even though it was just an experiment from over four years ago, it's still one of my favorite images.

This image was taken on a Canon t2i with a kit Canon 18-55mm.
