This image was snapped on a return flight from a salmon survey I was filming. I'm not exactly where we were when I snapped the frame, but my best guess is a tad east of Grants Pass and just north of Medford. I've always admired shots like these. When I looked out the window and saw the fog starting to form, I almost forgot I had my cameras with me! I opened up the small vent in the helicopter window and fired away. The shake from the heli was a little challenging, but shooting at a fast shutter speed helped so much.
