This is actually my mother, so she won't thank me for this.
Mother is a life long smoker with little chance of giving up. I was there myself once, smoking from about 13yrs of age until several years ago. When I chanced on a 2nd hand book called, 'The Only Way to Give Up' by Alan Carr (now deceased). It was the best 50p I ever spent and as a reward for giving up I bought myself some camera gear and have been a complete pain ever since.
So two sides to the story of cigarettes here. Giving up has given me a totally absorbing and potentially never ending hobby of photography (in the vain attempt to master it).
The strange thing is I knew nothing about photography when I bought my photography gear, couldn't have told you the difference between an f-stop and a bus stop at the time, but for some strange reason photography is something I knew that I wanted to do, strange, go figure.
Any way enough of a rant.
