Watkins Glen State Park in NY. I've been there. I converted my photos there to B&W. I do love this very good capture. Have you ever been to Letchworth State Park?

I read someone suggested PS the people out. I like them they give you a understanding of the size of the surroundings and I might not have noticed the bridge. This is a very nice shot.

Location
This photo was taken in Watkins Glen State Park, New York.Time
I made the trip to this location after seeing pictures of it and developing a desire too see it for myself. I was staying in the city of Ithaca as it was the closest place to get a hotel room. I got up that morning and drove there slowly, watching for places that looked interesting, I got to the area about 9 am and investigated the park and places to shoot from. The shot was taken just before 10am.Lighting
The falls are in a gorge that is somewhat of a low light condition for shooting except perhaps when the sun is directly overhead. I always take a few shots of this type at different speed settings as some shots are best at different timings according to the water flow.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D mk3 with a Pro Master tripod and a Pro Master variable neutral density filter. It was a .8 second shot at f22 with ISO 400.Inspiration
I had seen some shots of this spot that were good and some that weren't so good and I wanted to try my hand at it.Editing
I processed the photo in Lightroom and NIC software and in another version of the picture I used CS6 to remove the people. In my camera bag
I carry a 5d mk3 for landscapes mostly and a 7d mk2 for wildlife. my most used lens on the 5D is a 24-105ef and for the 7D a 100-400efFeedback
My first camera in the digital world was a T2i and some of my best shots were taken with it, I gave it to my daughter when I got my T3i and I missed the T2i. I have found that the more advanced systems used the harder it is to get everything right. If you have a decent camera get a good lens and a variable ND filter and a steady tripod and then practice shooting any moving water. Always shoot in raw and understand that a JPEG out of your camera is not a untouched natural picture as some people believe. If you can't afford to buy a software package your camera probably came with some software that you can download from their website. Moving water is one of the favorite things to shoot for me. Good luck and good shooting.
