The young man in this photo drank his way through the night in the New Orleans French Quarter one of the oldest neighborhoods in the U.S. and at 11 a.m. came to rest on this doorstep. I will confess that 50 years ago I most likely would have been sleeping in the next doorway after a hard night of play given the option. Instead I can happily report I spent a delightful fall morning of photo making in the French Quarter and look forward to enjoying sharing the delightful results.

It is a rather sad outcome for so many young men using alcohol or drugs. Hopefully he will wake up and decide to be a drug and alcohol counselor............
