The western tip of Ireland, near Killary Fjord, North Galway. Out for an early winter camping trip i placed a pin in the map at the southern entrance to the Fjord. The trip turned out to be rather windy from beginning to end, This the 1st night, i walked up the hill behind the beach brightly illuminated by an almost full moon, prepared at any minute to be soaked by the deluge of rain that came and went with a mechanical regularity.
The shorn telephone cable, probably broken in recent storms seemed to give justification to my journey to this spot, a long way from home, a place for new beginings, a break from the past.
Shot on tripod, full moon allowed large dof.
Softened and darkened a lot in post, i wanted to bring details down to basics and remove any distractions.
