On a late afternoon wallk, a bright red group of fungi caught my eye. Nestled beneath a tree with deep brown bark, the colour was striking. I returned the next day to take more photos, only to find the colour had faded to a rather ordinary orange. It's all about timing and light - this photo captures the rich colour and the texture of the fungi and soil.
