Location
This photo was taken outside my home office window. It was fall and I had hung a basket of mums on my shepherd's hook and viola a tiny spider created it's web.Time
It was early morning in 2015, as I walk our farm to get the creative juices flowing.Lighting
It was a fall morning and the lighting wasn't the best as it was cloudy, so I was shooting at f4 to get as much light in as possible.Equipment
This was taken with my Canon Digital Rebel XTi and my Canon 17- 40mm f4 "L" wide angle lens. It really has everything to do with the glass when it comes to shooting. I've since upgraded to a Canon 80D and 5D Mark IV. The 5D is my dream camera and I'm loving it. I only shoot with Canon "L" series lens and have quite the collection of them now. My 17 - 40 f4 was my first "L" series lens and I instantly fell in love with it.Inspiration
I'm a nature photographer mostly and love spiderwebs, so when I walked up and saw this beauty it was love at first sight.Editing
I'm a what you see is what you get kind of photographer, so I do minimal editing. I will tweak the lighting if needed, but that's about it.In my camera bag
I carry my 80D and 5D Canon bodies and a variety of lens. I prefer my canon 24-70 2.8 "L" as my everyday lens, but will have a wide angle and sometimes my 70 - 200 2.8 "L" lens. It's a beast and is quite heavy, so I usually only carry it when I really need it. I have extra batteries, lens cleaning cloth, pad, and pen to take notes.Feedback
To get the bokeh effect you will want to dial your aperture down to the lowest you can go and focus on the web as your subject. Happy shooting!
