This photo was taken in May of 2015 at Fort Jefferson in Dry Tortugas National Park which is about 70 miles west of Key West, FL. The fort sits on a small island. You can either take the ferry out to visit or by small sea plane. The hubby and I are big fans of all of our National Parks and Dry Tortugas/Fort Jefferson were on our bucket list. So we spent the day exploring the island and fort.Time
This was taken mid day, as it takes about 3 hours to arrive via ferry from Key West, FL. We departed at 8:00amEDT and arrived around 11:00amEDT.Lighting

I took this with my Canon Powershot D20 waterproof camera. I was afraid to take my Canon 5D with me, as I wasn't sure what the weather would be.Inspiration
The leading lines of the arches intrigued me and I knew they would lead your eye to follow to the end. The texture of the ancient walls added to my excitement.Editing
I am a what you see is what you get photographer. I did minimal editing. Brightness, color contrast, etc...In my camera bag
I carry my Canon 5D and 80D with me and usually my Canon Powershot (waterproof). I have several lens that travel with me too. Including my Canon f2.8, 24-70mm L, f4.0, 17-40mm L wide angle, f2.8 70-200mm L zoom, and a f2.8 Macro 100mm L lens along with lens hoods, batteries and chargers. I also have a pen, pad, and cleaning gear. It does depend on where I am going to shoot, especially if we are traveling on what I take on a specific days.Feedback
I would suggest when shooting leading lines to center your shots and let the lines lead your eye. Look for texture and unique angles to assist with composition. Most of all go to fun places to shoot and let your imagination run wild.
