Friendly monster hunting in Michigan forest meets with success after years of trying. The wind was rocking the top of the trees and the air was really damp and cool. Coming down the trail this specimen presented itself in it's full glory. Thankfully my first sighting was at the perfect point of view and I made four spot on photos to assure myself of one great capture. With almost 7 decades of hiking and hunting both stump monsters and unusual tree formations this is my most perfect capture of a friendly stump monster.
