This was taken in the winter as the sun was setting. I was out at five in the morning and took shots through out the day between ice fishing. As we were packing up all our gear i see the sun setting and it had the WOW factor. Still feel blessed to have got the shot.Lighting
This is all natural. Nature provided me with the most spectacular setting to get this shot.Equipment
I use a Cannon 7D. My lens is a Cannon 1-400mm. I didn't even need my neutral density filter; which I normally use 95% of the time. No tripod either.Inspiration
It was a must to capture it to share the beauty one can come across while enjoying my other passion of fishing. Often times one assumes that ice fishing is an acquired taste. This photo shows the beauty in the sport to the fullest.Editing
I did a little sharpening of the photo and that is all.In my camera bag
My camera, tripod, neutral density filter, 1-400 lens, 2x tele convertor, brushes and cloths in case I touch my lens filter, extra battery.Feedback
Be present in nature as much as possible during all seasons.
