November 2014: the Tower of London was bedecked in 888,246 ceramic poppies in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of World War I - one poppy for each commonwealth soldier who died. The display was entitled "Bloodswept lands and seas of red." Incredibly beautiful, inspirational and moving sight.
