This is my favorite place on Earth. As I am Scottish I've been dreaming of being in the beauty that it Glencoe and the isle of Argyll /Bute where my family is from since I was nine yrs old. Someday. After I was diagnosed with MS it's made me want to even more. Even though I'm sure I'll never get the chance it's always good to have a dream your photos are all incredible by the way

Location
This photo was taken in Stoer, Scotland during Xmas of 2013 just outside our cabin.Time
This was taken in the late morning, but because its a wintery and cloudy day it looked more like evening or very early morning.Lighting
This is just natural winter light on a stormy day.Equipment
This is taken with a Nikon D800 28-300mm Nikon zoom lens at 200mmInspiration
I find the landscape, history, topography, architecture, and weather of Scotland all incredibly inspiring. The Scottish Highlands are my favourite place to shoot. There is so much drama and a rich atmosphere that continuously fills me with energy and motivation to explore and take photos. This photo specifically was inspired by the rugged landscaped being lived on in relative isolation.Editing
This is a 5 exposure HDR using Photomatix Essentials and Lightroom. Once the HDR is compiled with a natural as possible look, I increased the contrast, the sharpness, and the clarity. I slightly enhanced the colours and tinkered with the shadows and highlights to optimise exposure. The goal is to make me feel like i'm still there to the highest extent possible. If you are new to HDR like I was when I took this, take many exposures and see what style you find appeals to you most, in post.
