I think the best difference about this is the orange path to the lighthouse. It has a follow the yellow brick road quality to it

Yes it was reddish and helped us a leading natural line in the whole composition. Thanks for the comment.

Location
I took this photo at Cape Tenaro at Peloponnese, Greece.Time
I captured it early in the middle of the day after two hours hiking.Lighting
I tried to give drama and texture to the whole scene by adding a 10-stop filter in order to make a wow-sky and a 3-stop graduated filter to cut the harsh light of the day.Equipment
Back in 2011 (the year I took this photo) I was using the Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon 17-40mm f/4 lens and a Manfrotto tripod. I was using also Lee filters at that time.Inspiration
The landscape itself inspired me to take this photo. The small pathway drove my attention at first. I used it in my composition as a physical lead-in line with the lighthouse at the end of it as my main subject.Editing
I did, in Photoshop. Not to much, just the basics (cropping, saturation e.t.c).In my camera bag
Nowadays, after all those years in photography and after I used several company lenses (Samyang, Canon, Sigma, Zeiss) along with my Canon 5DsR, I moved to medium format. I am using a Hasselblad X1D II with 3 Hasselblad lenses (21mm, 65mm and 210mm), a Gitzo tripod, a MindshiftGear backpack and lots of NiSi and Lee filters.Feedback
Just free your mind. Always have in mind that photography is like a blank canvas and you will choose what to add to this canvas at the end. Don't forget that you are the creator. So try to capture not the scene but what you felt when you saw the scene. Put your heart and soul in every photo you take. Only then you will achieve to bring to life something that is printed on a piece of paper. Every time have in mind that the next photo you take will be your first and last photo of your life. This will make every photo you take unique on any viewer's eye.
