Location
This photo was taken from the bottom of the Ouse Valley Viaduct. The train that runs from Brighton to London runs over this many times a day though we normally only get to see it from the top.Time
It was an extremely sunny, hot and clear day so it was the perfect afternoon to go running through a hay field to climb the bottom of the viaduct and explore the area. My friend who was with me was after some infrared shots of the whole viaduct. They turned out really nice.Lighting
The sun gave us all the light we needed, no flashes just what nature gave us.Equipment
It was just after I got my first DSLR a Canon 1100D. To be fair I wasn't hugely experienced at this point it was a really lucky shot that I loved. I just thought at the time, why not try it, what's the worst that can happen? You don't like it, you delete it.Inspiration
I was looking down the different supports and just thought to myself that looks way too cool. I wonder if it'll translate well into a photo? In the end I got lucky and the shut was so worth it.Editing
Yeah I did, photo shop brought out a lot of the colour and then I used a HDR filter to help bring out the details of the bricks and foliage. It was really quite enjoyable to edit.In my camera bag
Normally I carry my Cannon 600D, with my 18-270mm Tamron Lens and my basic lens. A UV filter and my lens pen. All I need.Feedback
The big thing I think is important is that if it looks like it could be art in your minds eye, then try it out. I enjoy taking photos no matter what, when or where. None of it matters, it's not the rest of the world that has to enjoy your photography its you. So try it out and don't be afraid to be different!
