I took it in the gardens of a stately home, can't remember the name of it now but it's in Sussex in the UK.Time
This was about mid afternoon, we'd just finished a picnic lunch and were strolling the grounds. When I saw the arched path I was very please probably took about 50 pictures.Lighting
You can't beat the sun, it offers the best natural effects you could ask for. Provided you're willing to wait for what you want.Equipment
Just my Canon E1100 at the time. (Got a better one now, not too much as camera's are expensive).Inspiration
It's not about inspiration, I don't look to be inspired by it. I just look for something that I think I would find interesting. I don't do this to sell anything or even make a career. I've never taken lessons or chased a degree. I just enjoy it. That's all.Editing
Yeah this one is an HDR photo, only a three layer but that's why the sun looks so bright. It took a lot of fiddling to get that light coming through as bright as possible. In my camera bag
My camera, a stock lens, my zoom lens and my lens pen!Feedback
Don't try so hard. The harder you try the more forced the photo looks. I find it's always the ones that I quickly snapped that make me the happiest. Also, don't do it for money, for fame or anything of the like..You'll end up resenting your camera. Do it because the art of snapping a moment makes you happy. That's what cameras are for, capturing moments of happiness.
