Oh my, it's pareidolia! Most people have never heard of pareidolia. But nearly everyone has experienced it. It's picking a face out of a knotted tree trunk or finding zoo animals in the clouds. Anyone who has looked at the Moon and spotted two eyes, a nose and a mouth has felt the pull of pareidolia.
For those unfamiliar with the term, pareidolia (sometimes referred to as "matrixing") is the brain's attempt to make out recognizable shapes where none exists. In effect, you are seeing what appears to be a face-form because that is what the brain is wired to do when confronted with random patterns of light and shadow. This is the same phenomenon we experience when we see faces or animals in the clouds, and is also the reason that the more you stare at the picture, the more "face" you see. It's really just an optical illusion. Here is my rose photo with what appears to be a male face or mask at a 45 degree angle, just under the left side of the rose blossom.

There is a head with a hand tipping the top hat. Oh you mention the head in your title so I guess I'm not the only one to see it.

Oh my! I need to thank you for pointing out the top hat - I will never look at this photo again without seeing it.
