Location
The photo was taken in the Olomouc (a town in the Czech Republic) ZOO, where I went with my sister (a teacher at a basic school) in the first day of her summer vacations.Time
The photo was taken at 12.08 on July 1, 2015, when I went to lunch.Lighting
Fortunately the antelopes were well-enlightened by daylight, otherwise it would be more difficult to take any picture. No additional lights, of course.Equipment
A Sony Alpha 77 MII with Minolta 200mm, F2.8 was used when taking the photo. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
Well, there is no exciting story behind taking the picture. Just, I was rushing to the restaurant, where my sister was waiting, passing the antelopes patch when I looked back and saw two antelopes. I took the photo almost automatically and went further where lunch was waiting for me.Editing
The original photo was not a black and white photo. It was converted to bw photo during the post-processing. But frankly I do not remember the method I used for the conversion. In my camera bag
My bag is not very big, which means I just carry the lenses that could be the most useful ones. In a ZOO a telelens is always needed. More particular, the old and superb Minolta 200 f2.8 is almost always therein. The Sigma 35 f1.4, Minolta 100 f2 and Sony 16-50 f2.8 are also therein and all together form my basic stuff. The camera I used was the Sony A77II.Feedback
Well, many pictures are taken just by chance, which is the case of this photo - by chance I looked back and the antelopes were positioned as they were. So, one should be ready for unusual situations and should have a good sense for such situations. On the other hand, many situations can be expected and foreseen ahead of time.Any advice?
