When I met Samba he had been in the US for 6 months. He came here on his own from Africa. His family is still there. When I asked to do his portrait he was happy to do so. What an amazing young man. Great ball player and bravely has stepped out into the world to make a better life for himself and his family. We talked about his family before this shoot...for me...I see it.
