A new winery with spectacular views and unique wines in the Texas Hill Country, Hawk's Shadow is also a working ranch. The owners were approached to host weddings from time to time, so we photographed a bride with one of the retired quarter horses in the vineyard. They put each other at ease, and at one point became quite calm and close. This image captured the serenity of that amazing experience.
