Primitive killer extraordinare, the Assassin Bug. Also called the wheel bug for the spiny disk on his back (looks prehistoric!) These are rather amazing insects, predators. Stalking caterpillars, grasshoppers, spiders. That long tube on his snout is his weapon, he punctures the victim, injects a paralyzing toxin that also liquifies the prey so he can drain it from the inside out. They aren't aggressive like wasps are but this is said to be about 5x as painful as a wasp sting.
