So gorgeous! Love the contrast between the smooth, white water and the colorful leaves of fall. Beautiful composition as well. Congrats on being a contest finalist! Did you have to use a filter to get the water that smooth or was the natural lighting muted enough to allow it naturally?

Location
This pic was taken of a famous mill in Babcock State Park in West Virginia the Glade Grist Mill. This is a very popular spot for photographers.Time
This pic was taken in the evening around 5 in the Fall. When the leaves turn color in West Virginia it is a beautiful site and during this time of the year there is so many places to take gorgeous pics and Babcock State Park is one of them.Lighting
Since it was in the evening and the sun was starting to set it was just a perfect time. Sometimes when out taking pics you have to wait for just that right moment to get that perfect shot.Equipment
This pic was taken with a Canon 70D with a slow shutter speed. No flash was used and no tripod. I hardly ever use a tripod when taking pics.Inspiration
I love this place and since it is not far from my home I try and make it there at least once a year.Editing
I am sure I did a little post-processing but it has been 4 years since this pic was taken and sorry I just can't remember. In my camera bag
Right now I have been enjoying using my newest camera a Nikon P900. It has been a lot of fun and I get shots I never would have of far away subjects.Feedback
Go in the fall to capture the beautiful colors of the leaves. Learn to work with slow shutter speeds. Try out different angles since you can take one subject and just by moving around standing or sitting you can totally change the mood of the image.
