I shot this self portrait using a self-timer and a tripod from the summit of nearly 14,000 feet Grizzly Peak near Aspen, Colorado. I ascended shortly before a thunderstorm moved into the area and enjoyed a pretty intense downclimb in the dark by myself. There's something to be said for solitide in the far reaches of the wilderness of Colorado - there's no real comparison! In view here are the Three Apostles, La Plata Peak, Huron Peak and other notable Colorado Peaks in the Sawatch Mountain Range. I wanted to impart a sense of scale for this scene by putting myself into it - I hope it worked!
