Behind The Lens

Location

I took this when I was visiting up in Grand Rapids, Michigan last spring. The tractor no longer being used but sill hangs on as a reminder of its strength and lasting power of the old farm tractors.

Time

It was early afternoon on a sunny day.

Lighting

It was a early May afternoon so the Sun was a nice angle. I loved the faded paint in the bright sun.

Equipment

Canon EOS with a short lens, no tripod and no flash.

Inspiration

I loved the old faded look of the tractor and the fact someone thought to hold onto it despite not having any use in the fields any more. I liked the color and the lack of shine in the bright sun made it more interesting. It reminds of when we use to make things to last.

Editing

Yes I did some post processing such as converting to black and white then putting back the color on the tractor only.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS, short lens and a 75-250mm lens.
